The Branch Stool

Shanghai, 2015

Inspired by nature and the environment of China, I create this bar stool. The Branch Stool was specially designed for a contemporary Chinese Street Food Restaurant call Baoism in the middle of Shanghai city.
Based on the classic shape of a bar stool, I play around a leg to create an anomaly who can intrigue people and serve them. Like in the park of Shanghai, full of plants and animation, trees are used to hang close and bird cages.

This extension of the legs especially designed to be used as a handle and a hook to attach bags and umbrella. Collaboration with Linehouse design Shanghai.

Materials: white oak and metal

Dimensions:
800mm x 350mm
